2023 Is Upon Us!

Hanging out in the garden

I can’t believe we’re already wrapping up January 2023! I wanted to take a moment to stop by and say hello to you all. It has already been four months since I wrapped up my first growing season as an official flower farmer, and already plans are underway for the 2023 season. I had an incredible first year thanks in part to all of your support. The kind words and interest in my small farming business was more than I ever could have asked for during my first year. There were so many ups and downs but I must say far more ups!! My why behind starting this flower farm goes way beyond creating my own business. It was all about bringing smiles to others, providing something special for someone or just making you feel cared for through blooms. Having a passion for what I do has always been so important to me in this venture. I want my customers to feel this in the care I put into what I do, and the message I set forth in my mission, creating serendipity, happiness by chance. The kind words, smiling photos and encouragement I received weekly last summer were what made me so excited to get started on the 2023 season.

Flowers, flowers & more flowers!

At the end of last season, I took a good, long look at what I grew and analyzed what worked, what didn’t work, what I could grow and what I could grow better. I am happy to say I am planning to grow more than double what I grew last year. I assessed growing times and hoping to be able to offer some hardy annual bouquets (very limited) earlier in the season. If all goes well, I may be providing bouquets in June. I looked at the areas of failure for me (i.e., my dahlia disaster) and am moving where I plant them and planning to get them in the ground much earlier than I did in 2022, so hopefully will have those blooms much sooner this summer.

What’s Upcoming

I have so many ideas for the future and look forward to sharing them with you all, testing them out and always striving to make things better. Stay tuned for a future summer subscription program that I will be testing out this season. I plan to roll it out first to my loyal followers via my monthly newsletter and then will roll out to my social media followers. This program will be very limited as I dip my feet in the waters of offering a subscription, but you won’t want to miss out on this exclusive opportunity from Serendipity in Bloom. Make sure you’ve signed up to receive my monthly updates.

Enjoy The Ride!

I have a lot of work ahead of me in 2023 but I don’t look at it so much as work, but rather my own stroke of serendipity.
